Ultra Bright mode uses HDR (High Dynamic Range) capabilities. It works best on MacBooks with XDR or Liquid Retina XDR displays, and external HDR-compatible monitors. On standard displays, you may not see a significant difference.
SoftGlow is designed to be efficient, but displaying bright light does use additional power. The built-in auto-off timer will automatically turn off the light after 1 hour to prevent accidental battery drain.
Yes! SoftGlow automatically detects all connected displays and creates light overlays on each one. When you connect or disconnect monitors, it adjusts automatically.
The overlays are designed to be click-through, meaning you can interact with everything behind them. If you're experiencing issues, try restarting the app. If the problem persists, please contact support.
